This 1985, clean, low-numbered hull J/27 (hull number 20) is an excellent 27 foot yacht for keel boating, whether racing or day sailing. The J/27's are highly rated and are responsive, fast and sleek. You can check out the J/27 at http://www.jboats.com/j27-performance. I bought this J/27 in 2009, but have not used her much due to illness and unanticipated changes in my personal life. Now, the marina that she is in is closing on August 26, and I need to make a decision whether to move her before then or to sell her. I will accept a price that is well below market due to deferred maintenance. Although everything is functional and the bottom has been regularly cleaned, she eventually will need new sails, running rigging (last replaced in 2008) and bottom paint (last done in 2009) for top performance. I have assisted in that by pricing her thousands of dollars under market for a comparable J/27. This is a fine local racer and great day sailor and an excellent opportunity for a new owner who wants far better performance and substance than can normally be had at this price. Includes: 2 genoas, furling genoa and furler, spinnaker, main, outboard and all other equipment necessary to go sailing.
Know of anyone looking for a j/27?

I just got this email from our broker on Flathead Lake Montana - I have a friend here looking to sell her somewhat neglected 1986 J27 sitting on a single axle J24 trailer here at the club. Will go for under $10K
