Opening Day -- April 26

HRYC’s Opening Day is Saturday, April 26.  This year’s theme is “Gilligan's Island.”  The festivities this year will include a pancake breakfast, boat parade, Opti Races and BBQ.  Bring the kids, invite friends – it should be a a great time again this year -- and the forecast is calling for warm weather and sun this Saturday!

The general schedule of events is as follows:

Pancake Breakfast: 9:00AM to 11:00AM ($3 for members, $5 for non-members)

Gilligan's Island Boat Parade: 12:00PM to 2:00PM

Opti Races: 2:00PM to 4:00PM
BBQ / Awards: 4:00PM to 7:00PM

The Club will provide the Grill, you provide the food and fixins (and please bring pot luck items to shrare).  We'll be doing awards for "Best Dressed Boat" and "Best Dressed Crew", so channel your inner Alan Hale and Bob Denver, and we'll see you on Saturday!

Wednesday Night Races -- April 30 to September 24

It's Sailing Season!  Are you ready for another season of great Wednesday night sailing?  Last year Mojito was tough to beat, who's game enough to challenge Doug and Meg this year for the season crown?  Stan already has Mirage in the water and is tuning his boat... Should be a fun year of racing!

Spring Series: 7 races - April 30 - June 11
Summer Series:  8 races - June 18 - Aug 6
Fall Series:  7 races - Aug 13 - Sept. 24

Registration is available on-line now -- just click on the links above.  You can register for each race series for only $24, or for the ENTIRE SERIES for only $50.

Trivia Night Photos

In case you missed HRYC's inaugural Trivia Night in February, everyone had a good time and agreed we should do it again next year.  We'll tweak the questions a bit to next year to make them more general knoweldge (apparently not everyone is as interested in the inflation adjusted cost of the schooner America as I am.)
